Hi, I'm Polly. I'm 18, I live in Poland, and I'm studying to be a psychologist. Sometimes it seems like I didn't choose this profession by accident — ever since I was a young, I've tried to understand why people behave the way they do, what makes them smile, cry, fall in love. I'm not perfect — I can be dreamy, sometimes absent-minded, but I always try to be kind. I love people, even if they are sometimes difficult. I like to observe the world, the little things that most people don't notice. And perhaps it is these little things that make me who I am — a little laughter, a little anxiety, a little light.

Sometimes I close my eyes and imagine myself sitting in a cozy office, listening to someone and feeling that I have been able to help them. My dream is to become a psychologist who can not only give advice, but truly understand. I want to create a space where people feel safe to be themselves. It may sound simple, but for me, that is what matters. I dream of a world with less pain and more understanding, and if I can contribute even a small amount of good, then it will all be worth it.

I often think about why we live. Maybe the meaning is not in achievements or fame, but in living each day mindfully. The taste of morning coffee, a conversation with a friend, a random smile—these are all little pieces of happiness. We are used to looking for meaning somewhere far away, but it is close at hand. In caring, in love, in doing at least a little good around us. And if at least one person becomes happier because you exist, then you are doing everything right.

Dancing is my way of communicating when words fail me. When I move to music, I feel truly alive. In those moments, I forget everything except the rhythm. I also love playing video games—there, I can be anyone I want: a hero, an adventurer, a savior of worlds. This helps me balance reality and fantasy. Volunteering fills me with warmth—seeing how your help makes someone happier is priceless. I believe that hobbies are not just entertainment, but a mirror of who we are.

The more I get to know people, the more I realize that we are all looking for the same thing—acceptance. We are afraid of being misunderstood, so we hide behind masks, words, and habits. But real relationships begin when we decide to be vulnerable. I think there is light in every person, but not everyone knows how to show it. And perhaps the most important thing is to learn to see this light in others and remind them that they are not alone.
